The Mulliner division will be celebrating Bentley's 100th anniversary next year with a Mulsanne special edition. It pays tribute to the company's founder father, W.O. Bentley and includes the remains of one of his own cars.
The special model, which can be ordered on either a regular or long-wheelbase Mulsanne or Mulsanne Speed is inspired by the 1930 8 Litre Bentley that W.O. was using as his personal vehicle. The influence of the car can be seen in the cabin. For example the Mulliner illuminated bar cabinet houses a display with a piece of the 8 Litre crankshaft that is displayed inside.
Other highlights include a chrome application running back along the side of the vehicle, with an air vent with a photoetched B shape that incorporates W.O. the car's signature front grille that's modeled after the 1930s-appropriate Onyx color of the limited edition, and an optional chrome application that runs around the lower spoilers to the left and right. The front grille is also a a unique design, with a chrome shell replacing the body-color mesh of the Mulsanne. It also has the Flying B Logo.
Key boxes engraved with the Bentley wings holds two keys and features black flock lining. individual key pouches are available to match or contrast with the key box. Outside, illuminated treadplates and clocks with brushed silver are available as standard, and new 22in wheels have self-levelling Bentley logos.
